**Responsibilities**:

- Comply with ALL safety procedures
- Operations training of new employees for robotic system
- Utilize technical knowledge of robotics to improve the quality of the process and participate in continuous improvement projects
- Perform regular daily maintenance of robotic cell, keep it in proper working order and clean
- Use of Support/LIMS to creates sample list and labels
- Load samples in drying rooms and keep the logs up to date
- Sieve samples
- Ensure all finished samples are stored in order in boxes
- Complete individual production logs and submit them to the Supervisor/Department Manager
- Archive samples and record location in the log
- Handle sample delivery of prepped samples according to the quality operation procedure
- Assist in ensuring turn around time meets clients and President’s requirements by working overtime when required
- Maintain a clean work station throughout the day

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Motivated, quality driven, and pro-active
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proficient computer skills
- Exhibit common sense
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as a team member and work well unsupervised
- Ability to handle several tasks at once
- Willingness to display effort to meet company goals of improved turnaround time and quality
- Willingness to work overtime if required to complete projects

**General Description - General Labour Position**

Sample Preparation Technicians will be working with rocks and preparing them for analysis. These positions are not suitable for those who cannot do periodic lifting throughout the day. Due to safety concerns, contact lenses are not permitted to be worn in the labs at anytime. Strict adherences to safety procedures are required.

Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
