**The Job**:
As an apprentice electrician at Start Electric, you will learn not only how to complete electrical installations in accordance to the local codes. You will also learn how to assess and repair electrical problems within an industrial setting alongside our skilled journeyman electricians. Through observation and hands-on training, you will complete all the requirements to become licensed. It is crucial that our electrical apprentice promotes a positive company image through consistency, quality, safety, and professionalism.

**The Responsibilities**:

- Assist a journeyman electrician and follow instructions
- Come prepared to the worksite, carry and deliver any materials needed
- Ensure your work area is clean
- Install conduits of various sizes and types. (I.E. EMT, Rigid, PVC)
- Install cable tray of various sizes and types
- Pulling wires of various sizes and types
- Lighting installations
- Demonstrating your commitment to safety in the workplace
- Entering required parts and controlling all job materials using our computer system
- Have the ability to operate an elevated work platform

**The Requirements**:

- Highschool Diploma
- Registered as a 309A apprentice
- Relevant electrical experience, preferably in an industrial setting
- General knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code (OEC)
- A valid G class driver's license with a clean driving record
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Have the ability to work in vulnerable sectors and provide a Vulnerable Sector police check if requested
- Additional relevant certificates and training would be considered an asset

Pay: $17.93-$37.79 per hour
