- The Financial Services Specialist will implement and manage a centralized financing process for the Heavy Equipment business, who will coordinate and administer equipment-financing solutions for our new and existing customers. The primary focus for the role will be both origination and fulfillment of transactions for our equipment business in all regions.
- Key Job Functions:

- As a liaison between our Sales Force and Caterpillar Financial Services, you will coordinate and process all credit finance submissions through Caterpillar’s finance portal; CapitalStream. Upon approval, you will provide all necessary documentations to our Sales Operations Group and our Sales Force. Work with both groups to achieve the maximum return by using the programs made available by Cat Inc.
- Other daily tasks include but limited to; quoting amortization schedules using the appropriate merchandizing programs, creating customer profiles in CapitalStream, review PPSA files for liens on equipment trade-ins and issue waiver letters, review pending funding reports to help improve our cash conversion cycle and minimize our DSO. You may also work with alternate financing companies from time to time.- Job Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary Education with 5 + years’ experience in the Equipment Financing / Leasing Industry from either the sales or credit adjudication side.
- Must have knowledge in origination and transaction fulfillment for equipment sales
- Understanding the complexity and benefits of various financing options made available (ie Operating Lease, Conditional Sales Contract)
- Knowledge of the Canadian Personal Property Security Act would be an asset
- Customer centric with exceptional relationship management, consulting skills and ability to provide proactive resolution to complicated situations
- Well-developed analytical, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Hands on with excellent proofreading ability with exceptional attention to detail
- Effective time-management and planning with the ability to quickly adapt to multiple and often changing schedules and priorities in a deadline driven environment
- Self directed, team-player with high integrity and initiative to be proactive in problem solving
- Superior proficiency in Microsoft Office software (ie Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other customer based systems)
- Valid Driver’s Licence with the willingness and ability to travel as required in support of business needs
- Fluent in French and English, both written and oral
- Willing to work until 5pm EST to support our teams in Québec and Ontario
