As part of the Sales & Distribution team, the Contracting and Licensing Associate supports the department in the areas of advisor recruitment, sponsorship, and the advisor contracting & licensing processes. This individual provides timely support of life licensing processes and plays a key role in supporting Contracting and Licensing projects/initiatives, while documenting and implementing new processes in line with evolving Business and Regulatory changes.
**About the Role**:
As a Contracting and Licensing Associate, you will:
- Provide accurate and timely support for the administration of the life licensing process
- Take ownership of Provincial Insurance Council relationships
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date advisor information is maintained in our systems
- Process advisor contracting, ensuring accurate and timely setup and sponsorship where required
- Maintain life licensing renewals on our systems, ensuring advisors are aware of their renewal period
- Process all career agent and broker terminations, including the communication of advisor block changes to members
- Facilitate Provincial sponsorships and manage company sponsorship program.
- Perform quarterly audits to ensure internal partners have completed support requirements (termination adjustments, licensing discussions and follow up on licensing sponsorship requirements)
- Provide technical and procedural advice to all stakeholders in Distribution Channels with superior customer service
**What You Bring to the Table**:
- 3-5 years experience working within the insurance industry
- Attention to detail with a focus on producing accurate and reliable results by leveraging excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Meticulous records maintenance skills with the ability to maintain filing systems, basic databases and data spreadsheets
- Post Secondary Degree in Business or related field
**Nice to Haves**:
- Experience in the insurance industry supporting advisors, including processing or facilitating agent contracting
- Strong knowledge of insurance industry, including insurance regulations and compliance legislation
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite and online meeting platforms
