**Summary**

The Avenir Centre, is seeking casual Facility Cleaners. This position involves performing physical cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the arena and event spaces to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests, staff, and performers.

**Key Responsibilities**
- General cleaning and sanitation of the facility (interior and exterior)
- Empty garbage and recycling containers
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, locker rooms, showers, benches, penalty boxes, and bleachers
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors and stairwells
- Operate cleaning equipment such as power scrubbers and pressure washers
- Clean windows and glass doors
- Restock restroom supplies (paper towels, soap, toilet paper)
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety throughout the venue
- Perform additional operational tasks as needed during and after events

**Qualifications**

**Requirements**:

- Previous custodial or cleaning experience is an asset
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Professional appearance and work ethic
- Must be flexible and able to work varied shifts, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays based on the event schedule

**Physical Demands**
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Extended periods of standing and walking
- Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, squatting, pushing, and pulling
- Must be able to work in cold environments, including within the arena bowl

**Additional Information**

This position requires availability based on the Avenir Centre’s event schedule, which may include irregular and extended hours. A flexible schedule is essential.
