For over 29 years Sakai Spice Canada has been manufacturing food and food ingredients from Mustard Seed. Our parent company was established in 1872 in Japan.

We are searching for a motivated individualto begin work as soon as possible, organizing the production and movement of food for customers the world over. Working as a member of a team, a Logistics Coordinator fastidiously organizes and tracks details related to the production and shipping of goods to customers around the world by truck, shipping containers and occasionally air. The position is also responsible for ordering some inventory items.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Liaise with freight forwarders, government and others to prepare for domestic and international shipping of imports and exports and prepare export documentation for international shipments in compliance with Canadian and overseas authorities.
- Receive orders from the Sales Manager and/or Head Office.
- Working with the Plant Manager, schedule production of the order and prepare packaging documents.
- Using an established system, book shipping for the order. Improve the system as opportunity offers.
- Follow up to ensure the process is unfolding as planned; make and communicate necessary adjustments as required.
- Using established procedures and records, order raw materials.
- Responsible for record keeping and for verification of various documents.
- Follow up incorrect or incomplete documentation.
- Responsible for effective communication internally and external to the company.
- Perform other duties as required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

- Indoor office environment.
- Sitting at a computer/workstation much of the time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Interest and Enthusiasm.
- Obsessive attention to detail.
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft products and able to learn in-house software.
- Reliable, dependable with a demonstrated desire and ability to learn.
- Effective written, verbal and listening communications skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Time management skills.
- Respect diversity - treat others with respect.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team to complete daily activities according to work schedule.
- Ability to communicate in written Japanese would be an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 16 months

Pay: $37,440.00-$39,520.00 per year
