**Position Overview**

The Event Coordinator at Southland Trailers is responsible for planning, organizing and hosting both internal and external company events. The Event Coordinator will coordinate logistics for company participation in events, collaborate with cross-functional teams, monitor event performance, and organize social club activities to promote Team Member engagement and our Company Culture.

**Requirements**

  • Experience in hospitality, Food & Beverage and Event management.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to ensure all event logistics are executed flawlessly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Creative and innovative mindset to develop engaging event concepts and social club activities.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate event performance and provide insightful reports and analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to organize, train and lead teams of volunteers
  • Flexibility to travel and work outside regular business hours as required by event schedules.

**Responsibilities**

  • Coordinate logistics for company participation in events, including booth setup, staffing, promotional materials, and shipping arrangements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as sales and product development, to ensure seamless execution of event strategies.
  • Monitor event performance and provide post-event reports and analysis to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Organize and plan social club activities to promote employee engagement and team building.
  • Manage logistics for social club events, including venue selection, catering, transportation, and budgeting.
  • Coordinate communication and promote social club events internally to ensure maximum participation.
  • Evaluate and select vendors, suppliers, and partners for the event and social club needs.
  • Track and manage budgets for events and social club activities.
  • Maintain relationships with event organizers, vendors, and partners to ensure successful collaborations and negotiate favourable terms.
  • Assist with internal company wide communication such as weekly newsletters, communication boards, and team member perks and benefit communication.
  • Assisting Coaches with team building activities.
  • Coordinating HR related events such as recruitment events, training and tours.
