Reporting directly to the HR Generalist, the **Human Resources** **Administrator** **is an integral part of the team, and is responsible for supporting various human resources functions, including recruitment, conducting orientation, and maintaining records and information. The Human Resources Administrator will perform administrative tasks and services to support the effective and efficient operations of the human resource department.
**Responsibilities**
- Communicate with the HR Generalist and management team to determine the staffing needs.
- Act as the first point of contact for company employees’ inquiries pertaining to HR services.
- Assist with the day-to-day administration of HR activities, including employment offer letters, contracts, employment verification letters, and reports as necessary.
- Delivering advice, guidance, and consultation to employees with respect to recruitment, job evaluation, employee relations, training/orientation/onboarding, health and safety and other employment-related matters.
- Perform job analysis for various roles, including drafting and updating job descriptions.
- Consults with hiring managers of various departments to develop a recruitment plan for maximum success, including developing an interview process and guide for hiring managers.
- Conduct new staff training presentations and assist in all onboarding procedures to ensure a smooth transition.
- Maintain and update HR-related databases and records with integrity and confidentiality.
- Enter new employee information into the HRIS database.
- Assists with the planning and execution of special events such as employee engagement activities, employee recognition events, virtual events, and holiday parties.
- Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Position Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in Human Resources.
- Minimum 2 years of related experience supporting Human Resources is required.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation (Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, Occupational Health & Safety Act).
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential documents with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to deal courteously and effectively with people at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to engage others to ensure success in the workplace.
- Confident with manage deadlines, targets and multitask working on many projects at once
- Commitment to the value of continuous learning and an open curiosity for new ideas and innovation.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including intermediate level Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
