**_ Position Summary:_**

Strategic planning in collaboration with the national healthcare (HC) leadership team and national healthcare director to achieve regional sales goals. Develop and monitor key performance indicators and team member professional development. Oversee and provide direction to enhance relationships and growth opportunities with customers.

**_ Essential Functions:_**
- Collaborates with credit manager on regional accounts receivables.
- Manages HC coordinators and inside sales team, providing leadership for daily operations.
- Develops and trains region's sales reps, in coordination with national HC leadership.
- Sets annual operating plan, credits, and net profit goals with input from region leadership.
- Manages region's budget responsibly.
- Conducts periodic reviews with key customers and manages employee performance reviews.
- Collaborates with Transportation and Sales leaders to optimize company resources.
- Coordinates outside region activities like food shows and customer events.
- Coordinates sales activities with national account manager, Product Specialist, and Menu Specialists.
- Assists in developing and promoting sales growth programs and HC marketing plans.
- Submits timely monthly reports to update management on regional activities.
- Develops and maintains shared vision of growth with Gordon Food Service Healthcare Segment.
- Recruits, trains, and retains staff; conducts performance monitoring and disciplinary action as needed.
- Acts as a mentor and resource for staff.

**_ Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:_**
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Minimum 6 years of sales or business experience, with 3 years of supervisory experience preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills for representing the department and speaking at events.
- Industry and segment knowledge, with ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Strong time management, administration, and organizational skills.
- Strategic thinker with ability to build relationships, network, and execute business practices.
- Proficient in developing profitability models and other analytical tools.
- Collaborative team player.
