**Department: Programming & Adult Day Services**
**Responsible To: Director of Programming and Adult Day Services**
**Position Definition**:
Performs a variety of clerical duties within the Residential & Community Programs Department at both Echo Village and Fir Park Village, including for the Day Service Program. Assists in the research and creation of program support materials.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
1. Researches, checks and compiles information for resident/volunteer resources such as brochures, booklets, posters, weekly/monthly/seasonal newsletters, annual calendars, and family letters.
2. Compiles, prepares and maintains statistical reports such as the Day Program Occupancy report based on information provided.
3. Types technical and non-technical material such as correspondence, minutes, and statements, from handwritten drafts, revisions or dictating machines.
4. Sets up and maintains filing systems for materials such as correspondence, resident/volunteer reference information, ADS/community clients’ index cards, pictures, special events, and support/research material.
5. Composes correspondence such as attendance forms, thank you notes, schedules, etc as directed or drafts correspondence for review and signature.
6. Answers inquiries, both in person and by telephone for the department.
8. Photocopies, collates, etc., as assigned and/or as related to assigned tasks.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
Education, Training and Experience
Completion of Grade 12, previous related experience of one year, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to type at 60 w.p.m.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment and computer programs
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: $25.75 per hour
