**Summary**:

- The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading the Oleoresins Production team and ensuring that all product is made according to Robertet procedures and policies, GMP standards and SQF provisions.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Monitor department’s performance to identify potential production issues to proactively address challenges and find creative solutions that enable the team to meet goals.
- Completes batch making and packaging and assigning tasks, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, resolving problems and reporting results.
- Provide leadership, training, and guidance to department personnel. Coaching, counseling and disciplining as needed.
- Ensure all material is handled, produced, and packaged according to GMP and SQF standards.
- Resolve equipment, process, raw material and finished product quality issues in a timely manner. Investigates issues, identifies solutions and recommends actions via CAPA.
- Hold team members accountable for actions and initiate progressive disciplinary process as needed.
- Communicate (lead by example) Robertet’s mission, vision, and values.
- Identifies, recommends, and implements changes to improve productivity and quality. Ensures optimal equipment operation by calling for repairs (HelpDesk), evaluating techniques and new equipment.
- Report employee incidents and safety incidents or hazard to the Director of EH&S and Management Team.
- Accountable for overall goal of ZERO incidents/accidents through coordination and cooperation with the Director of EH&S
- Commitment to Robertet and SQF Safety and Quality Standards and continuous improvement of the quality management systems

**Competency**:

- Ability to perform several functions simultaneously with attention to detail and the ability to analyze and communicate procedural discrepancies, e.g., monitor employee productivity and inventory control.
- Ability to adapt to changing technology, processes, and personnel.
- Ability to read, write, document, and communicate accurately and with detail. Must be exceedingly mathematically proficient.
- Ability to interact and communicate with other functional areas (Logistics Team, Planning, QC, Maintenance, and Technical Labs).
- Ability to create, edit and oversee Manufacturing SOPs and assist in employee training and retainment.
- Ability to effectively interact with employees with other levels of technical backgrounds.

**Qualifications**:

- Required:_

High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Flavour/Oleoresin/Food manufacturing or related industry.
Must have knowledge of computer software pertaining to inventory control and manufacturing operations.
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must read, write, document, and communicate accurately and with detail.
- Preferred:_

Associate’s or Batchelor’s degree is a plus.
Previous supervisory experience for four or more employees
3-5 years of supervisory experience is a plus.

Forklift experience or certification a must.

**Work Environment**:

- Personal Protection Equipment required:

- Area is ventilated but fiber dust/Organic mask usage is needed.
- Work area often exceeds 85 decibels so hearing protection is mandatory.
- Safety eyewear and gloves are compulsory
- The workspace has a mild natural spicy odor

**Physical Demands**:

- Ability to stand and move frequently during entire shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
