Sanitation Supervisor

Responsibilities:

- HACCP policies and Cleaning SSOP (Sanitation Standard Operation Procedure) must be followed and updated.
- Filing out all required sanitation and cleaning paperwork and documentation.
- Notifying Procurement when materials are running short so that replacements can be ordered accordingly.
- Ensuring food production equipment is visibly clean and performing routine swabbing.
- Overseeing the accessibility and appearance of the production area.
- Supervise the cleaning of exhaust hoods, COPs (cabinet washers), scrubbers, and drains.
- Interact with vendors/service providers of pest control and cleaning chemicals.

Qualifications:

- College diploma or University degree; or an equivalent combination of related experience and education in Microbiology.
- HACCP certified (asset).
- Minimum of 3 years of direct leading sanitation teams in a GFSI/HACCP certified food production facility
- Knowledge of GMP and Provincial Safety Regulations
- Intermediate Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
- Scissor Lift license is an asset

**Skills**:

- Lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.
- Comfortable in Safety/Steel-toed boots (will be provided).
- Strong ability to train new employees and transfer knowledge in a patient and consistent manner.

The Sanitation Supervisor is in charge of leading a team and participating in daily hygienic activities such as reviewing/updating procedures and programs, being familiar with internal audits, the Master Sanitation Schedule, pest control, swabbing, and cleaning chemistry in order to achieve consistent quality and meet health and safety standards. The Sanitation Supervisor is in charge of ensuring that all sanitation processes in the manufacturing and facility areas adhere to HACCP policies and cleaning SSOP.

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
