- Your Opportunity:

- We are seeking a Therapy Assistant (TA) passionate about working with individuals experiencing addiction and mental health issues to join the dynamic Complex Mental Health Rehabilitation Program (CMHRP)Team based in AgeCare SkyPointe Facility. The Therapy Assistant is an essential member of a transforming, integrated, recovery-oriented multi-disciplinary treatment team. This therapy assistant position will primarily support the Occupational Therapist and Mental Health Clinician. Responsibilities include implementation of treatment plans and programs (1:1 and groups) as directed by therapists. The TA is also responsible for observing, tracking, and reporting changes in patients' physical, functional, mental and behavioral conditions to therapists or other appropriate members of the multidisciplinary team. You will demonstrate evidence of reflective thinking and lifelong learning that enhances individual and team competency. In this role, you will provide direct client care and have the opportunity to contribute ideas and feedback to the Occupational Therapist in shaping future programs and interventions. **Required Qualifications**:

- Completion of diploma from an accredited post-secondary rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program or equivalent training may be considered.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:

- Applicants who are currently or who have experience working as an Occupational therapy TA, or have specific training related to Occupational Therapy. Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a community setting supporting OT or RT with at least one year of experience working with adults with addiction and/or mental health issues. Intermediate computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite and Connect Care. Experience with EMR - Connect Care. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to work effectively within a patient-centered, interdisciplinary team. Effective time management and organizational skills. Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and decision-making skills in a complex environment. Effective self-management and time management skills paired with initiative.
