Based out of our Vancouver Plant near Powell Street and Commercial Drive, we are hiring a full-time Class 3 Driver. A typical day involves several stops to customers including food processing facilities, farms, local restaurants, supermarkets, and shopping mall complexes. Shifts are expected to start early in the morning with hands-on work involved for some runs. There are no overnights or long haul routes expected. Driving routes will consist of collecting from raw material customers in support of our used cooking oil collection, grease trap services and large volume bulk pick up customers. The role requires the delivery of exceptional customer service when interacting with customers. Often viewed as the face of the Company, Drivers are expected to act professionally both on the road and at locations of service when dealing with customers and the public. This is a full-time, permanent position for 40 hours per week. WHY JOIN OUR TEAM? - Build a stable career at a reputable company with more than 450 employees - Continuous in-house training opportunities available - all our new drivers are provided hydraulic equipment training during onboarding - Comprehensive compensation package offered to full-time employees including employer-paid extended health benefits - Generous RRSP matching for employee contributions after 1 year ACCOUNTABILITIES - Drive and follow scheduled routes based on instructions from the Fleet Dispatcher and/or Fleet Superintendent - Load materials from customers and customer locations into bone and fat trucks - Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspection checks - Report issues or concerns related to vehicle maintenance, damaged containers / bins / equipment or Customer to the Fleet Maintenance / Dispatcher in a timely manner - Operate all equipment safely and efficiently - Follow safety protocols and other procedures as dictated by WCRL or the customer’s requirements - Perform shift work based on company business needs which evolve and change in response to customer demands - Work overtime as instructed to ensure mínimal downtime of facilities - Adhere to the company Code of Conduct and all West Coast Reduction Ltd. policies - Foster a positive team and company culture by ensuring treatment of others is respectful and aligned with company values - Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor THE IDEAL CANDIDATE - Possession of a valid Class 3 Driver’s Licence with a clean abstract - 3 years of experience in commercial truck driving or a similar environment an asset - Strong knowledge of Greater Vancouver / Lower Mainland area - Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication skills - Ability to frequently move, carry, lift, push and pull equipment up to 50 lbs without assistance and occasionally greater with assistance - Perform repetitive motions including bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing and reaching overhead above the shoulders daily - Adaptable to adverse conditions including confined spaces, heights, cold weather, odours and animal by-products INTERESTED CANDIDATES ARE INVITED TO SUBMIT THEIR RESUME BY CLICKING THE "APPLY NOW" BUTTON BELOW.
