Job description
**Main Responsibility**:
Understand and know Company Policies and Procedures
Ability to drive a tandem 5 ton truck with manual transmission to transport materials to and from specified destinations.
Be responsible for produce delivery to ensure that customers receive their product in good condition in an appropriate manner.
Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes in order to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
Load and unload trucks
Obey traffic laws, and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
Read maps, and follow written and verbal geographic directions.
Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
Maintain records such as vehicle logs, records of cargo
Perform emergency repairs such as installing light bulbs, fuses
Present bills and receipts, and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded.
Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles to Owner
Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones to Owner.
Turn in paperwork, receipts and payments received from deliveries.
Operate trucks in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of
injury, property damage or loss of life.
Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
Clean trucks as scheduled and/or required
Ensure loads are safely and securely stored
Perform other related duties
- Keep work area neat and tidy
- Perform instructions in a timely manner
- Gather loads for delivery
- Load and unload truck
**Knowledge, skills and abilities**:

The Truck Driver is required to have, as a minimum, a clean Class 3 driver’s license with air certification. Ability to drive a manual transmission tandem truck.

Pay: $33.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
