**About Us**

Canvas is a registered charity based in Toronto seeking dedicated individuals to join a team of energetic and supportive staff members. **Canvas provides empathy-based education on 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion and consent.** We envision a society in which all people are free to live authentically and have the tools to form safe, caring relationships. We believe that high-quality, proactive education is key to combatting homophobia, transphobia and sexual violence.

**Commitment**

Contract Length: February 17 (desired start-date)
- July 2, 2025 '

Starting Rate of Pay: $20.60/hour + 4% vacation pay

**What will your responsibilities be?**

1. Co-facilitate programs on 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion, Consent, and Allyship with schools and/or community groups in-person and virtually.

3. Attend monthly team trainings at the Canvas office (first Wednesday of each month from 10am-12:30pm).

4. Demonstrate enthusiasm, respect and professionalism at all times and follow the Canvas Code of Conduct.

5. Familiarize yourself with Canvas’ facilitator manuals for each program.

6. Arrive a minimum of 30 minutes prior to each workshop session, participate in team debriefs following each session and oversee workshop set-up and clean up.

7. Support Canvas’ program evaluation by handing out and collecting evaluation materials at the end of each session.

**What You’ll Bring to the Team**
- Experience and/or passion working with youth.
- Strong passion for 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion and consent education.
- Experience in facilitation and/or providing education related to 2SLGBTQIA+ Inclusion, consent, and healthy relationships.
- Experience and/or passion for arts-based programming and education.
- Strong interpersonal, public speaking, group facilitation and time management skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with a co-facilitator during workshops and as part of a team.
- Ability and desire to give and receive constructive feedback and seek ways to learn and improve professional practice.
- Ability to think on your feet and manage unexpected situations that may come up during workshops.
