**Key Responsibilities**:
**Direct Client Support**:
- Be available **Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (8 PM-10 AM)** to assist with nighttime routines and occasional nighttime support.
- Provide **structured support** to help the client develop essential life skills, problem-solving abilities, and self-care.
- **Manage and de-escalate** challenging and aggressive behaviors with a calm, professional approach.
- Work closely with the **Behaviour Consultant** to implement behavioral strategies that encourage positive coping mechanisms and personal growth.
- Administer medications responsibly and in accordance with prescribed guidelines.
- Assist with light housekeeping and cooking duties while encouraging client participation.
- Provide **guidance and structured interventions** to help the client resolve conflicts constructively.
- Maintain **accurate and detailed records** of progress, behavioral incidents, and daily activities.
- Communicate regularly with the client’s family and other support team members.
**Administration & Leadership**:
- Support and supervise a team of **4-5 staff members** who work 10 AM-8 PM shifts.
- **Lead regular team meetings** to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Ensure **timely completion of reports, time sheets, and petty cash records.**:
- Manage **staff scheduling**, including relief and full-time coverage for sick days, vacations, and holidays.
- Maintain necessary **reports and records** to meet **Accreditation and CLBC** standards, including **Critical Incident Reports** submission.
- Supervise the team’s data collection efforts in collaboration with the **Behaviour Consultant.**:
- Uphold program goals and objectives in accordance with contract guidelines and **CLBC Services regulations.**:
- Manage financial aspects of the program, including **weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.**
**Communication & Advocacy**:
- Foster **professional relationships with government agencies** and relevant organizations (CLBC).
- Participate in **agency supervisory meetings and training sessions (1-2 times per year).**:
- Provide **advocacy** as needed.
- Collaborate daily with team members to ensure consistent care and support.
- Offer **regular updates on best practices** and ensure adherence to care standards.
**Qualifications & Requirements**:
**Experience**:
- **Minimum 1-2 years of experience** working with individuals with developmental disabilities and significant behavioral challenges, including aggressive behaviors, anxiety, OCD, Tourette’s, and ADHD.
- Proven experience in **crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques** is a strong asset.
**Education/Certification**:
- Certification in **Support Work or Youth Care Work** (preferred but not mandatory).
- **Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI)** certification (preferred but not mandatory).
- **First Aid and CPR certification** (required).
- On-the-job training will be provided.
**Licenses**:
- **Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License** with a clean driving abstract.
- **Criminal record check required.**
**Availability & Compensation**:
**Schedule**:
- **Friday, Saturday, and Sunday**:
- 8 PM - 10 AM (overnight shift with occasional support needs).
- **Tuesday**:
- 7 AM - 10 AM
- 8 PM - 11 PM
