The Information Technology Technical Project Manager will plan, establish, and manage information technology (IT) projects and will serve as a liaison between the business and technical aspects of assigned projects.

- The Technical Project Manager provides a single point of contact for projects and will take projects from the original concept through final implementation. They will facilitate definition of project scope and objectives with teams and oversee/coordinate all aspects of the project scope, plan and direct schedules, and monitor project budgets. They will provide Agile management for the teams to develop an iterative, continuous approach to project delivery and team workflows.
- Lead a cross-functional team to achieve project requirements, deadlines and schedules.
- Coordinate the development of documentation to enable implementation and turnover of the process of a system.
- Manages assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and project scope.
- Develops, maintains, and revises proposals for assigned projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, timelines, funding, and staffing.
- Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed.
- Establishes and implements project communication plans, providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholders.
- Collects, analyzes, and summarizes information and trends as needed to prepare project status reports.
- Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects.
- Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
**What It Takes**
- Is Accountable for the successful launch and delivery of new, key OpenText Cloud initiatives/projects. Helps team achieve program/project goals while partnering with Cloud Operations Product Managers on overall business objectives.
- Helps create, populate, automate, and manage metrics dashboards on an ongoing basis, identifying and following through data-driven business and operational improvement opportunities.
- Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, dependency tracking, and status reports to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Interfacing with peers in other teams as well as their leaders, including Engineering, Cloud Operations, and Product Management.
- Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of project management principles, processes, strategies, methods, and planning.
- Thorough understanding of information technology procedures and practices.
- Ability to motivate groups of people to complete a project in a timely manner.
- Expert level in Microsoft Office Applications, including Projects.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others.
- Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams
- Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.
- Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head off obstacles.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer or Information Science-related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- PMP certification, preferred.
- 5+ years of IT or Software industry experience in a global, high-tech environment, with at least 2 years in a technical project management position
- Project management methodologies (Agile. Hybrid, waterfall), BI, and collaboration tools (Atlassian, etc.)
