**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Credit & Collections Manager, the Credit & Collections Analyst will be responsible for tracking, following up, and reporting on overdue accounts, assessing credit risk for new customers, processing returns/credits, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve customer issues. This role plays a vital part in maintaining strong financial operations and ensuring timely collections.

**The successful applicant will**:

- Conduct credit checks on new customers and review existing accounts annually or as needed.
- Review Accounts Receivable weekly and take action on overdue accounts.
- Process credits and invoices while enforcing AR policies.
- Investigate and resolve customer payment issues.
- Escalate at-risk accounts to senior leadership.
- Write off accounts when necessary and approved
- Maintain customer notes on collection efforts.
- Provide feedback and reports on account collections.
- Act as backup for AR specialists, assisting with payment processing.
- Engage in personal development and training.
- Support ad hoc reporting and finance projects as needed
- College or university education is preferred.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or collections.
- Prior experience with MS Dynamics 365 is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- High attention to detail and organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
