RCM America is a not-for-profit entity created by The Royal Conservatory of Music to oversee the development, support, and expansion of our educational programming into new markets within the United States. An exciting and recent strategic project, this US-based venture nurtures awareness of RCM programs while seeking to forge new partnerships that promote our core curricula as well as the launch of our Smart Start early childhood program for educators and learners.

**What is the Opportunity?**:
Reporting to the Director, Smart Start, the Coordinator, Smart Start is responsible for day-to-day administrative needs in support of the Smart Start program for RCM America. This role will also be the first point of contact for inquiries about the program and will act as the “face” of RCM America as our presence in the US develops. Professionalism, a customer-service orientation, and well-honed administrative skills are vital for the incumbent of this role.

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Supporting the coordination of meetings with potential clients and RCM stakeholders.
- Responding to general inquiries regarding the Smart Start Program, leveraging excellent communication skills and professionalism in representing the RCM America brand.
- Supporting operational and administrative activities for the department, including processing agreements and contracts.
- Supporting with the organization of teacher training including logístical considerations, soliciting key details, and distributing the required materials.
- Working with the Director, Smart Start to set up webinars and schedule workshops.
- Supporting logistics at conferences on an as-needed basis.
- Contributing actively to team meetings for strategic and tactical planning processes.
- Performing other role-relevant duties as required.

**Job Requirements**:
**What We're Looking For**:

- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in business administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One (1) to three (3) years’ administrative experience, ideally in an educational, not-for-profit, or start-up environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
- Team player willing to jump in and support where needed, but equally capable of working independently with mínimal supervision.
- Interest in and experience with music and/or educational programming preferred.
