**POSITION OVERVIEW**

Are you passionate about shaping the future generation and making a positive impact in their lives? We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic **Early Childhood Educator** to join our dedicated team. This position is within our **Toronto based Mighty Kids Centres**. We are looking for an enthusiastic educator to join our toddler team Located in beautiful Leslieville, our centre focuses on community engagement, quality care, and fostering creativity. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Participate in the age appropriate environment rating scale annually
- Interacts with Ministry staff and other regulators around licensing requirements for inspection purposes
- Follows the Centre’s Quality Assurance Cycle when using program evaluation tools
- Provides positive social experiences
- Facilitates and understanding of a variety of cultures and value systems
- Provides a physically safe and emotionally supportive environment
- Implement emergency procedures
- Attending to the child’s physical needs
- Actively participates in required training sessions within Childventures curriculum and community sponsored professional development
- Provide age-appropriate programs to enhance the children’s cognitive, physical, social and emotional development.
- Prepare weekly program plans meeting all requirements of curriculum
- Daily observations
- Maintain child records

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Previous experience in an Early Childhood Educator position is an asset
- Early Childhood education including:

- RECE Registered Early Childhood Educator
- ECE Early Childhood Educator
- CYW Child Youth Worker
- CYC Child and Youth Care
- ECA Early Childhood Assistant
- EA Educational Assistant

**MINISTRY REQUIREMENTS**:

- 2 Step TB
- Updated Immunizations (Tetanus, MMR)
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
