**Role Summary**

The Site Supervisor is responsible for on-site supervision, health and safety and/or quality control of the construction project. The Site Supervisor will at times provide site supervision and at other times provide quality control services. Reporting to the General Superintendent, the Site Supervisor also works closely with the Project Manager

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Provide on-site supervision and management of crews;
- Manage the safe operation of crew members
- Supervise/facilitate preventative maintenance efforts
- Troubleshooting and reporting issues to management expediently
- Co-ordinate the flow and staging of work on-site with GeoSolv
- crews, subs, GC’s and other trades;
- Read and interpret shop drawings, contract drawings, tender
- documents and specifications;
- Review site conditions to ensure safe operation of equipment;
- Provide basic layout as may be required using GPS;
- Ensure GeoSolv’s Health & Safety Policy is being adhered to;
- Work closely with GeoSolv’s Engineers to ensure the quality
- standards are being met.
- Provide on-site audit of built Geopier elements;
- Provide quality control services on-site including testing;
- Track and record progress of field work including daily reporting;
- Being flexible and versatile in duties and;
- Work within GeoSolv’s Quality Management System
- All other duties as assigned

**Education, Credentials and Experience**:

- A College diploma/University degree in civil engineering;
- Eligibility to gain certification in OACETT;
- 3-5 years of Construction experience is an asset;
- Heavy civil or geotechnical construction experience is an asset;
- Experience or familiarity with design-build construction;
- Experience with contract documents, drawings, and specifications;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Ability to work in a team environment;
- Work outdoors around heavy construction equipment in varying weather conditions;
- Mechanical inclination is an asset;
- Valid G driver’s and clean driving record;
- Ability to travel and work on sites in and around Ontario
