**Position Overview**

Reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager or designate, the Project Coordinator plays an essential role in business development, estimating and project execution. This dynamic role is focused on working within the project management team in overall project performance including cost, schedule, safety, quality, planning and communication. The Project Coordinator may also be requested to support the Estimating and Business Development team.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in the initial planning and scheduling of construction projects by supporting the preconstruction process.
- Coordinates all site procurement activities including validation of material specifications, preparation of purchase requisitions, materials material tracking and ensuring traceability of materials when required.
- Support field engineering and quality assurance activities
- Site administration activities, including tracking employees’ hours, subtrade tickets, consumables, KPIs etc.
- Communicating plans, actions, risks, issues and updates with key stakeholders such as Aecon employees, vendors, foremen, trades, superintendents, subcontractors.
- Fielding queries from external stakeholders and coordinating responses.
- Producing Daily Construction Report for approval & submission.
- Developing an understanding of budgets, cost reports & revenue forecasts at the project level.
- Developing and maintaining a project schedule as required by the Project/ Construction Manager.
- Leading by example ensuring Aecon’s corporate health and safety program and quality control plans are adhered to.
- Leading and contributing to safety toolbox talks.
- Provide support to Estimating team including analysis of tender drawings and preparation of quantity takeoffs.
- Promote the Aecon brand and assist in the identifification of business development opportunities in Quebec.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by his/her supervisor.

**Required Knowledge and Skills**
- Civil Engineering Degree or Diploma / or equivalent training and experience.
- Read, interpret and understand contract drawings and specifications.
- 5+ years of piling/ civil construction experience in a project execution role.
- Strong communication skills - oral and written.
- Strong time management and task prioritization skills.
- Self-motivated with good organizational skills
- Adaptable to work a flexible work schedule when required.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and timelines.
- Ability to work with others as a team with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work away from home for extended periods.
- Position may require travel throughout all provinces and territories.
- Must be open to rotational work as required.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
