We are very excited to hire a full time morning baker

**Start Time**: 6:00 AM | **Shift Length**: 8.5 hours (includes 30-min break)
**Availability**: 5 days per week, Tuesday to Saturday.

**What You’ll Do**

As a morning baker, you’ll help ensure our baked goods are ready to go for the day. Tasks include:

- Baking off daily products: croissants, scones, cookies, and more
- Operating commercial mixers, ovens, proofers, and other bakery equipment
- Scaling ingredients and preparing fillings, creams, sauces, and garnishes
- Finishing viennoiserie, breakfast sandwiches, pizzas, and other items with precision and consistency
- Replenishing front-of-house pastry displays
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace

A bit about us:
We are a fourteen-year-old bakery on a mission to prove that the future of baking is plant-based. Our goal is to replace the factory farm-filled baked goods on cafe and grocery store shelves around BC. Our bakery and cafe is located on Nanaimo & Grant St in East Vancouver and **we're looking for a passionate, experienced baker** to join our team **Must have at least 2 years experience as a baker**, must be comfortable with operating a commercial oven, have a great sense of time management and urgency.

Specific requirements:

- has bakery experience (2 years minimum)
- has a food safe certificate
- has a flexible schedule and is comfortable with some overtime
- has a sense of **urgency**/ strong work ethic / comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- is trustworthy / values integrity
- is a good team player
- is organized and pays attention to detail
- is legally authorized to work in Canada
