Maintenance Coordinator

**Summary Statement**
The Maintenance Coordinator (Coordinator) reports to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager (Manager). With a hands-on approach, the Coordinator is responsible for supporting all the maintenance activities at the Hamilton Facility.
The Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Manager to ensure efficient plant operations and optimal plant availability.
**Major Duties and Responsibilities**
- Perform maintenance tasks associated with daily upkeep of equipment
- Keep maintenance logs for all equipment in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Support the development and execution of maintenance plans
- Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts, consumables, supplies and tools and support the sourcing and purchasing of mechanical supplies
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain mechanical and electro-pneumatical devices
- Support the development of Maintenance Work Instructions (MWI)
- Support the planning, coordination and execution of maintenance shutdown activities
- Support the development and implementation of preventative and routine maintenance programs
- Ensures that all safety and environmental systems are maintained properly and safety concerns, work orders are dealt with quickly and effectively
- Assist in training, coaching and developing production employees
**Minimum Skills and Qualifications**
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance. Experience in a chemical processing environment is preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude with previous experience with equipment/machine repair
- Electrical/Electronic aptitude; experience in Profibus and Variable Frequency Drives technologies is an asset
- Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Knowledgeable and demonstrated use of CMMS and maintenance planning systems
**Mental and Physical Effort**
- The position requires working under pressure to carry out maintenance activities for the safe and efficient operation of the Hamilton Facility that operates 24/7
- The Coordinator must be able to work independently and demonstrate a high level of professionalism at all times
- The position requires hands-on work in an outdoor environment
**Working Conditions**
- Office work and outdoor activity as required
- Outdoor activity in all weather conditions
- From time to time will be exposed to long work hours and potential non-standard shifts
