As the Market Development Manager, you will oversee market development activities and provide support to the Regional Sales organization in driving revenue of respective products in Electrification Business Area. You’ll be responsible for developing new business opportunities aimed at lighting agents, national distributors, and strategic end users in the US. You will drive growth in market share in the US Hazardous & Explosion Proof Lighting for ABB, developing strategic business opportunities & partnerships, and supporting major projects.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Educate and support agents, distributors, contractors, and engineering firms working with ABB products on our product
- portfolio.
- Support and strengthen our sales network on market trends, answer their technical questions, and solve the issues of our
- business partners.
- Develop our various business units such as Standard Emergency Lighting, Nexus Pro, Mini-inverters and central system.
- Work in collaboration with our various departments (Marketing, Order Desk, Central Systems, and Technical Support).
- Support our agents and distributors during events such as Table top, factory visits, congresses, and promotional events.
- Be able to travel throughout eastern Canada for the purposes of the tasks mentioned above.

**Your background**:

- 5-7 years of experience in a sales position.
- Good knowledge of the lighting products market and the market of our agents and distributors.
- Proven ability to develop and manage customer relations.
- Collaborative, solution-oriented approach with strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Diploma in electromechanics (an asset).
