Voilà is a new team dedicated to launching and scaling Sobeys new e-commerce grocery home delivery business. This is a rare opportunity to join a start-up within a larger organization. You will help launch and operate a new brand in the Alberta, Ontario and Quebec markets powered by Ocado Group’s world-leading e-commerce grocery platform. **Overview**:
The Fleet Shunter Supervisor will support the home delivery function by overseeing the yard operations of Voilà by Safeway. They will lead a team of shunters and manage the movement of delivery vans to ensure that their loading/unloading meets the requirements of the operations activity cycle.
- Direct the daily activities of a team composed of 4 to 6 shunters from the Voila by Safeway facility
- Manage the movement of delivery vehicles on site to ensure that their loading/unloading meets the requirements of the operations activity cycle
- Actively participate in the recruitment and development of shunters
- Set up and monitor operating procedures
- Support the vehicle maintenance team to ensure vehicle reliability and availability
- Coach and provide continuous feedback on the work and performance of the team
- Maintain vehicle operator records
- Support continuous improvement using feedback from Operations
- Drive team engagement, development and retention
- Communicate and promote the corporate culture to employees
- Support the training manager to develop and deliver training materials; ensure that the training of shunting operators is up to date

**Job Requirements**:

- High-School Diploma
- Good experience with computers and information systems
- Experience supervising a team or as a team lead
- Excellent planning, analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, while being able to influence teammates, and to interact with all levels of the organization/external suppliers
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Good knowledge of labour standards is an asset
- Knowledge of Excel, Outlook
