**Kitchen Supervisor**

Meal in a Jar Inc., a food company that produces fresh, complete meals layered in glass mason jars is seeking an extraordinary part-time or full-time
- Current Food Safety handling qualifications
- Experience working in a commercial production kitchen
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- A love of real food and (Creating the new menu)

**Areas of responsibility include**:
**Health and Safety**
- Follow food safety plan and standardized procedures for the production of Meal in a Jar product.
- Maintain and implement Hygiene & Cleanliness standards, adhere to the HACCP plan for safe food production.
- Monitor food temperature logs during receiving, production and distribution.
- Monitors production operations for safety and Critical Control Points; ensures all applicable regulatory requirements are met and followed.

**Supply Chain Management**
- Develop relationships with external suppliers for raw food inputs.
- Support selection of partners with the very best reputation within the industry so that

Meal in a Jar can deliver the highest quality product to its customers.
- Reviews inventory and requisitions and purchases food supplies as required; makes direct special purchases.

**Produc**tion
- Be responsible for weekly production cycle including vegetable, meat and grain preparation, product portioning, jar filling, and clean up.
- Oversees kitchen production staff assigned to the production department, production workers and safety coordinators.
- Monitor and report weekly COGS including food, labor, packaging and overhead costs.
- Summarize time, total production, leftover, cost.
- Implement standard operating procedures for production.
- Evaluates current and proposed systems and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Recommends changes when necessary and assists in the implementation of new processes.
- Maintain high-quality products by ensuring compliance with all operations procedures.
