Sunco Foods Inc. was founded in 2009 as a family owned company, importing and distributing raw nuts, dried fruits, seeds, ancient grains, beans, peas, legumes, oils and sweeteners under the Sunco Foods brand. In 2012, Sunco Foods started planning the next phase of their business, specifically retail packaging, roasting nuts and producing nut butters. In 2014, Sunco Foods completed construction of their brand new state of the art 50,000 square foot facility in Burnaby, BC. As we grow, Sunco is looking for talented, positive and hard working individuals to join our team.

Sunco Foods is currently looking for a Warehouse Supervisor (Afternoon Shift) who will report directly to the Materials Manager. Our Warehouse Supervisor will oversee a team of 8 hourly employees in a very busy and rapidly growing warehouse environment. We are looking for a hands-on Supervisor who will control all warehouse needs from shipping, receiving, inventory and quality control. The Warehouse Supervisor will plan schedules and work load accordingly with crew members, oversee all shipping documents, freight bookings, and have a valid forklift license to help the team as needed.

**Here are some of the things you’ll be doing**:

- Effectively managing hourly employees including scheduling, assigning tasks, resolving issues, managing performance, and providing coaching and team development support
- Working with multiple departments to meet customer requirements
- Promoting and facilitating safe work practices, policies and procedures
- Managing cycle count procedures to maintain inventory accuracy
- Enforcing company policies and SOPs

- 3-5 years of relevant experience in food environment
- Strong managerial skills including highly developed interpersonal and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to document and manage a large body of warehousing data and KPIs
- Ability to deal professionally, courteously and confidentially with all internal and external stakeholders
- Previous experience working in a fast-pace and rapidly growing environment is a strong asset
- Ability to stay calm, focused, and rational under pressure
- Ability to effectively manage priorities in a constantly evolving environment
- Excellent communication skills (i.e. confident, clear, and concise)
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Valid Forklift License with relevant experience
