**Job Summary**:
The buyer/expeditor is responsible for planning and performing expediting activities to ensure the timely delivery ofdocumentation, materials, and equipment to meet project requirements.
Responsible for tracking and reporting supplier progress and OTD to the Project team and production team, including processing purchase orders, liaising with logistics, quality and engineering teams.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Proactively performing expediting activities to ensure the delivery of equipment, materials, services and related documentation.
- Attend review meeting and update the SPL, the PM and the Engineer on the status of orders (material, inspections and documentation)
- Maintain project-specific reports and update expediting tables for IFO and CFO parts.
- Liaison with the quality team to ensure timely in stage and final inspections.
- Verify the supplier's packing slip with a purchase order for completeness and report shortages.
- Liaison with logistics team and supplier to organize transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate with the OF buyers and production team on ETA's for IFO parts as required.
- Ability to challenge suppliers to maintain/improve delivery and work with suppliers to find alternative ways to expedite delayed materials.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience working in expediting, supplier follow-up, internal and external coordination, supply chain and scheduling.
- Proficient in the appropriate software. (MS Excel, ERP-SAP(preferred))
- Critical thinking and negotiation skills.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $30.35-$36.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

- Oakville, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
