**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist Senior Buyer with supplier recovery schedules to meet organization’s demand requirements.
- Verifies raw materials and outside processors meet customer requirements. Issues Requests for Quotes to selected vendors with appropriate drawings.
- Reviews quotes to determine which vendor has competitive prices and competitive lead items.
- Obtains approval of purchase order prior to release of purchase order. Monitors vendor quality and on time delivery.
- Maintains Approved Vendor List.
- Schedule pickups and deliveries.

**EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE**:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a **manufacturing procurement role buyer,** procurement specialist, supply chain, etc. Purchasing certification preferred or a combination experience and education is acceptable.
- Intermediate knowledge and experience using MS Office (Excel. Word).
- Purchasing certification is preferred along with strong analytical & aerospace industry knowledge skills.
- Knowledge of negotiation strategies and skills as well as conflict resolution and/or mediation skills needed.
- Keen attention to detail required.
- Understanding of import/export processes including Canadian Controlled Goods Program and ITAR an asset.

Pay: From $26.00 per hour
