We are a locally owned and operated construction company based in Courtenay, BC. We provide project management, construction management, and general contracting services to the residential, commercial, institutional, and light industrial sectors in the area.

As our business continues to expand, so does our need for exceptional leaders. We’re looking for a Field Manager to join our team Your primary role will be to oversee all field operations, ensuring efficient project execution, adherence to safety standards, and client satisfaction. You'll work closely with the senior project manager, project managers, and site superintendents to develop and implement project plans, allocate resources effectively, and enforce quality control measures.

You bring a determined attitude and show strong commitment by tackling challenges head-on. You take pride in your work, listen attentively to others, and are genuine and approachable. You’ll fit in well if you are passionate about construction and always seek better ways to deliver value and an exceptional experience.

Key Qualifications
- Post-secondary education.
- 8+ years’ experience in the construction industry.
- 5+ years’ experience as a site superintendent or site experience.
- Experience in overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Expert knowledge of construction plans, building layouts, documentation, communication protocols etc.
- Expert time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Expert organizational and communication skills.
- Advanced understanding of construction management concepts including budgeting, scoping, scheduling, and quality control.
- Advanced ability to problem-solve and mediate conflict.
- Advanced ability to coach and mentor field staff.

Key Duties
- Oversees all field operations ensuring efficient project execution and adherence to safety standards.
- Collaborates with project managers and site superintendents to develop and implement project plans and schedules.
- Manages labour, equipment, and materials across projects to optimize productivity.
- Enforces quality control measures and ensures compliance with safety regulations.
- Addresses client concerns and maintains positive relationships with clients and subcontractors.
- Manages yard organization, cleanliness, and equipment inventory.
- Leads the recruitment and onboarding of field staff, sets expectations, conducts performance evaluations, resolves conflicts, and holds regular one-on-one meetings.
- Provides leadership and mentorship to field personnel, fostering a positive work environment.

Pay: $120,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
