**Job Overview**

As our Shop Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our trucks and equipment are in peak operational condition to support our crew in the field to get their job done. We are looking for someone who will ensure our equipment has industry leading up-time. We need someone who is Detail-Oriented. Accurate documentation of all work is a must.

**Duties**
- Lead a team of mechanics, ensuring repairs are completed correctly in a timely manor.
- Strengthen relationships with suppliers.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking products as needed.
- Lead our preventative maintenance program and implement strategies to achieve improve the program as needed.
- Foster a positive and safe work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth among staff members.
- Tackle major repairs on diverse vehicle and equipment components including: brakes, suspension, drive train, transmissions, engines, emissions, and electrical systems
- Validate repairs and ensure peak performance,
- Maintain a safe and impeccably clean work environment.
- Support our crew in the field

**Experience**
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic Certificate with Inter-provincial Red Seal or equivalent
- Strong skills in training development, and supervising staff.
- Class 5 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract (Class 1 Preferred)
- Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and suppliers.
- Familiarity with inventory management practices is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members effectively.

**What you should expect**
- Primarily shop/office based but will require field visits to inspect equipment or manage repairs.
- Exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and outdoor weather conditions.
- Periods of standing, bending, kneeling, laying under equipment and transitioning between positions while preforming repairs and maintenance.
- Periodic lifting and carrying of parts and pieces weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Overtime will be required during our busy season from May through October.

Pay: $38.00-$49.00 per hour
