Operations - Project Manager
GNI Management Group Inc is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our Production Operations team Reporting to the Director of Production Operations - ICI, this individual will take on the full responsibility for end-to-end project management and delivering planned project performance. This person will engage with 3rd party contractors, internal technical experts, the sales team and other resources as required.
Experience
- Bachelors degree in engineering, building technology, construction management, or similar. Alternatively, significant pertinent work experience.
- Two to four years experience working as a project manager in the construction industry.
- PMP qualification preferred.
- Experience in insulation or building envelope industries an asset.
- Excellent leadership skills and experience leading a team in a construction environment
- Demonstrated success as a project manager including completion of at least one large scale project.
- Detailed knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
- Proven ability to track, coordinate, and integrate issues into a cohesive plan.
- Prove ability to write, analyze, and edit project plans, proposals, and other documents for accuracy and consistency.
- Fully proficient with MS Planner and/or similar project management tools.
- Experience with Salesforce is an asset
- Excellent written and oral communication skills coupled with the ability to write and edit high quality business documents (eg. Master project plans, risk management plans, communication plans, progress reports, wrap-up documentation).
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the capability to provide leadership without formal authority and manage diverse functional project teams.
- Able to navigate complexity and uncertainty; able to function in a rapidly changing environment.
- Comfortable interacting and community effectively with senior leaders.
- Willing and able to travel to project locations within Ontario as required.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and manage project plan(s) for assigned construction / installation projects.
- Full responsibility for end-to-end project management including take offs and completion of quotes in a timely manner
- Working with clients to detail specific project deliverables
- Leading Production teams to ensure deadlines are meant and compliant with quotations and OBC
- Developing project plans for clients and internal functions
- Delegating project tasks to teams best suited to complete them
- Tracking project performance and analyzing deliverables against requirements
- Coordinating tasks by different people on different sites to ensure uniformity upon project completion
- Ensuring timely completion of the project to build client trust while avoiding unnecessary penalties
- Working within the budget by adequately estimating the costs and cutting unnecessary expenses
- Managing both internal and external risks within the project’s lifetime, such as poor planning designs, and government policies, which directly or indirectly affect the project
