Reporting to the Director, Faculty Affairs, the Clinical Faculty Evaluation Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of faculty evaluation processes within NOSM U. The Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the evaluation cycle, including implementing evaluation tools, analyzing data and reporting results. The Coordinator collaborates with clinical faculty members, Section Chairs, and other stakeholders to administratively support and coordinate faculty evaluations that be used in determining potential faculty development opportunities, institutional goals and accreditation requirements for NOSM U’s education programs.

This position is covered by the Terms and Conditions of the OPSEU Unit 677 Collective Agreement (Unit 2). A copy is available on the NOSM University website.

**Responsibilities**:
Tasks include but are not limited to the following:

- Maintains evaluation administrative workflows, coordinates evaluation tasks including data collection, data analysis, trend analysis, report production and dissemination and continues the evaluation workflow to completion.
- Implements evaluation tools and systems, such as online evaluation platforms or standardized rubrics, to streamline the evaluation process and enhance data accuracy.
- Provides guidance and support to Clinical Sciences faculty members and evaluators regarding evaluation procedures, criteria, and documentation requirements.
- Supports Clinical Sciences Division Head with promptly dealing with egregious evaluations to mitigate risk for the University.
- Maintains records related to egregious evaluations, unprofessional behaviour and provide related reports to the Clinical Sciences Division Head.
- Conducts data analysis and generate comprehensive reports on Clinical Sciences faculty performance trends, strengths, areas for improvement, professional development needs, promotion and reappointment processes.
- Resolves administrative problems by analyzing information; identifying and communicating solutions to stakeholders.
- Stores and updates Unit evaluation databases with relevant information.
- Provides guidance and support to clinical faculty members and evaluators regarding evaluation procedures, criteria, and documentation requirements.
- Participates in the UME Orientation delivering information sessions to Learners on NOSM U evaluation tools/systems and best practices in evaluation techniques and strategies.
- Maintains continuity of work operations by documenting and communicating needed actions to management; discovering irregularities; determining continuing needs.
- Collaborates with Postgraduate Medical Education, Undergraduate Medical Education, Health Sciences and other NOSM U staff to coordinate the evaluation processes as they relate to the various NOSM University programs.
- Liaises with NOSM University Section Chairs/Clinical Sciences Division Head to assist in diffusing situations related to contentious evaluations.
- Act as first point of contact for learners and refer them to the NOSM U help line as required.
- Maintain evaluation software and related supporting documents for the University’s clinical faculty and programs.
- Support the Section Chairs and the Clinical Sciences Division Head with promptly dealing with evaluations to mitigate risk for the University.
- Maintain records related to evaluations, unprofessional behaviour and provide related reports to the Clinical Sciences Division Head, Section Chairs, Director of Faculty Affairs.
- Verifies professional status of clinical faculty members for NOSM U stakeholders as required.
- Conducts data analysis and generate comprehensive reports on clinical faculty performance trends, strengths, areas for improvement, professional development needs, faculty promotion and reappointment processes.
- Collaborate with institutional stakeholders to use evaluation data for strategic planning, and program improvement,
- Functions as the Faculty Database Lead. Liaise with IT and other NOSM U stakeholders to ensure the Clinical Faculty Database reflects the needs of the Unit. Investigates and problem solves Clinical Faculty Database related issues as required.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- A University degree from a recognized Canadian institution with accreditation or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience is required
- Experience in the medical or post-secondary education environment is an asset.
- An understanding of the medical education environment and health education system in Northern Ontario and Canada
- Proven analytical and report writing skills
- Experience working with other software programs with formatting/utility capabilities of word processing (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word) and with NOSM U’s custom programs
