**Job description**:
Our Controller is accountable for the accounting operations of a NASDAQ-listed technology company. This includes the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk. The controller is also responsible for enhancing the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensuring that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. Our Controller must have solid communication, technology, analytical, and people management skills.
**Specific responsibilities**:
- Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions
- Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
- Coordinating and preparing internal monthly and external financial statements (10Q, 10K)
- Coordinating activities of external auditors
- Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
- Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes and policies
- Overseeing regulatory reporting and tax compliance
- Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff. Managing internal staff and outsourced accounting team
**Desired experience and qualifications**:
- Experience with NetSuite is highly desirable
- Experience with a publicly traded company with quarterly and annual filing requirements
- Audit experience is desirable.
