**Position Overview**:
The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating landscaping and maintenance activities, including weekly schedules for mowing, trimming, and gardening. This role involves supervising a small team, designing and managing planting schedules, and maintaining the health and aesthetics of green spaces. The Maintenance Coordinator must demonstrate strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, while ensuring high-quality workmanship and client satisfaction.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and coordinate weekly schedules for mowing, trimming, and gardening tasks.
- Assist the Project Manager in creating and implementing planting schedules for large projects.
- Ensure proper placement, staking, and maintenance of trees, shrubs, and plants.
- Supervise and provide guidance to a team of 2-4 staff members, ensuring efficient task completion and adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor team performance and maintain a productive and collaborative work environment.
- Perform planting, pruning, and trimming of shrubs and trees to maintain their health and appearance.
- Coordinate and participate in tasks such as placing and raking topsoil, mowing, trimming, power raking, and aerating grass.
- Oversee site cleanup to ensure project areas are safe and tidy.
- Actively participate in the company’s Health & Safety Program, ensuring compliance with safety policies.
- Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle to transport materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and encourage a safety-conscious culture within the team.
- Perform duties on various residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
- Work outdoors in different weather conditions and on uneven terrain.
- Handle physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Be reliable and punctual to meet project deadlines and schedules.

**Qualifications**

**Skills and Attributes**
- **Physical Fitness**: Ability to lift, carry, bend, and kneel, with the capacity to handle heavy loads (50 lbs and up).
- **Attention to Detail**: Ensure precision and quality in all landscaping and maintenance tasks.

**Experience**
- Proven experience in planting, pruning, placement, and staking of trees, shrubs, and plants.
- Hands-on experience with landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, and soil preparation.
- Familiarity with gardening practices, including the design of small garden and vegetable spaces.

Pay: $22.00-$32.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Landscape maintenance: 3 years (preferred)
- Towing a Trailer: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (required)
