**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement engaging programs and activities tailored to the needs of children, including those with disabilities.
- Provide direct support to youth in various settings, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Foster positive relationships with children by encouraging participation and providing guidance.
- Collaborate with parents, educators, and other professionals to create an inclusive environment that supports each child's development.
- Monitor progress and behavior of youth, documenting observations and reporting any concerns to appropriate staff.
- Facilitate group discussions and activities that promote teamwork, communication skills, and conflict resolution.
- Assist in teaching essential life skills through structured programs and hands-on experiences.

**Qualifications**
- Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings is preferred.
- Background in teaching or educational support is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with youth from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

- 2 year minimum Social Service worker, CYW, DSW or related diploma
- Recent broad record check (Police check, within 6 months)

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week
