The Policy Analyst supports the efforts of Cooperation Canada’s policy team and strategic and timely connections between policy-related and other institutional priorities. This position contributes to building an innovative sector association espousing the values of social justice and providing reliable policy insight for inclusive collective action.
Reporting to the Policy Lead, the Policy Analyst supports the organization’s engagement with Global Affairs Canada and other institutional and political actors, as well as domestic and global civil society partners. The Policy Analyst covers a range of files relevant to Cooperation Canada, its members and its working groups, supports knowledge exchange on relevant priorities, and engagement with external stakeholders.,). The Policy Analyst may conduct literature reviews and directed quantitative and/or qualitative analysis on policy priorities identified by the Cooperation Canada team. The Policy Analyst drafts briefings, contributes to reports and the elaboration of strategic documents and crafts other communications products aimed at policy influencing and coordination. This position also supports sector coordination, including ensuring depth of knowledge and breadth of connections to key stakeholders both within and outside our membership, such as counterpoints at Global Affairs Canada and other relevant government departments.

L'analyste des politiques appuie les efforts de l'équipe des politiques de Coopération Canada et les liens stratégiques et opportuns entre les priorités liées aux politiques et autres priorités institutionnelles. Ce poste contribue à la construction d'une association sectorielle innovatrice épousant les valeurs de justice sociale et fournissant un aperçu fiable des politiques pour une action collective inclusive.
Relevant du Responsable des politiques, le poste d'analyste des politiques soutient l'engagement de l'organisation auprès d'Affaires mondiales Canada et d'autres acteurs institutionnels et politiques, ainsi que des partenaires de la société civile nationale et mondiale. L'analyste des politiques couvre un éventail de dossiers pertinents pour Coopération Canada, ses membres et ses groupes de travail, soutient l'échange de connaissances sur les priorités pertinentes et l'engagement avec les partenaires externes. L'analyste des politiques peut effectuer des analyses documentaires et des analyses quantitatives et/ou qualitatives dirigées sur les priorités politiques identifiées par l'équipe de Coopération Canada. L'analyste des politiques rédige des notes d'information, contribue à la rédaction de rapports et à l'élaboration de documents stratégiques et élabore d'autres produits de communication visant à influencer et à coordonner les politiques. Ce poste soutient également la coordination sectorielle, notamment en assurant la profondeur des connaissances et l'étendue des liens avec les principaux partenaires, tant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur de nos membres, tels que les homologues d'Affaires mondiales Canada et d'autres départements de gouvernement pertinents.

Vous avez une expérience de la théorie et/ou la pratique de la coopération internationale, y compris l'aide humanitaire, le développement durable, et les approches féministes. Vous êtes doué-e pour la recherche et l'analyse de politiques, très organisé-e, et vous voyez le potentiel d'influence des politiques par le biais de partenariats, d'une collaboration efficace et du partage d'information. Vous comprenez l'importance stratégique de la relation entre Coopération Canada et Affaires mondiales Canada et vous êtes enthousiaste de développer cette collaboration.
