**JOB SUMMARY**

The Warehouse Shipping Team Lead is responsible for working closely with, supporting and assisting the Warehouse Shipping Supervisor in all areas of the warehouse as needed. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the accurate and seamless processing of outgoing shipments. The primary focus of this role is on the coordination and supervision of inventory management, space planning, project management, and process improvement. The Shipping Team Lead must understand the impact of this position to other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of all shipments. The Warehouse Shipping Team Lead reports directly to the Warehouse Shipping Supervisor.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Coordinate Final Inspection and Shipping personnel to see all available shipments completed
- Maintain traceability of all shipments through tracking numbers and Freight BOLs as necessary
- Assess and maintain a cost-effective supply of shipping materials including boxes, tapes, labels, etc.
- Report to the Shipping Supervisor on any observed/identified staffing needs or performance issues on a daily basis to make sure all quality metrics, customer deliverables, and productivity targets are met
- Coordinate with the Shipping Supervisor to identify potential high-volume days and high-performing shipping personnel to work with the Warehouse Manager and related Production Leaders on flexible staffing plans accordingly
- Facilitate the training and support for Shipping and Warehouse team members on company inventory systems and shipping procedures, including proper scanning procedures and documentation
- Support in the training and supervision of staff in standard operation procedure and safe work practices
- Supervise warehouse shipping personnel, shipping processes and systems
- Ensure workplace Health & Safety compliance in accordance with company policy and uphold hygiene and security practices in the workplace
- Ensure the practice of FIFO (first in, first out) and keep stock control systems up to date
- Report any identified issues to the Shipping Supervisor in overseeing the processing of incoming customer RMA's, rework jobs and outgoing supplier returns
- Motivate, organize, and promote teamwork to ensure productivity targets are met
- Work closely with Production groups, Program Management and Purchasing teams
- Ensure completion and transfer of forecasted product kits within 24 hours of arrival of last material
- Maintain and upkeep work area within 5S requirements (i.e., ensure area is clean, always maintained and organized)
- Maintain finished goods inventory levels and perform cycle counts as required
- Manage stock control, cycle counts, physical inventory and processing orders
- Support in the creation, review, and evaluation of shipping report templates and related metrics
- Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment
- Assist in the planning of future capacity requirements
- Other tasks are required

**SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**
- Strong communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Strong management skills
- Good technical understanding of ERP systems, MS Office Suite - with a focus on Excel and Word, quality systems, electronic scanning inventory computer programs, etc.
- Excellent knowledge of ESD control and stock management
- Ability to multitask, set priorities, work well under pressure and tight deadlines
- Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Demonstrated understanding of electronic components and stock control
- Physically capable to work on feet and carry objects of up to 30 lbs as needed

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- 3+ years related experience in an assistant management, production support management or team lead positions, preferably in electronics manufacturing or similar manufacturing setting and/or equivalent combined experience and relevant education
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in warehouse shipping/receiving or similar functions i.e., logistics, supply chain management required
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in international shipping, commercial invoices/ customs documentation and shipping dangerous goods
- Demonstrated experience with a variety of material handling equipment i.e., standard forklifts, pallet trucks, etc.
- **Export Certificate required**:

- Current and valid forklift certification is an asset
- Experience with industry recognized continuous improvement or Lean programs an asset
- Good understanding of 5S and 6 Sigma
- High school diploma/GED completion mandatory

**LOCATION**
- The position location is based in Markham, Ontario facilities (Building A and/or Building B).
- Incumbent must be open to working at both facilities as business and operational needs dictate.

**WORK HOURS**
- This position is normally scheduled to work an 8-hour Split Shift from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Overtime is scheduled from time to time based on business needs.
