Alavida Lifestyles is looking for an **Activities Manager **to join our retirement residence located in **Nepean - Ottawa, ON**. The Activities Manager reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for the planning and implementation of recreational activities and programming for the retirement residence.
- **RESPONSIBILITIES**_
- Develop, implement and evaluate recreational programs and services to meet the physical, psychosocial, spiritual and intellectual needs of the Residents
- Provide opportunities for Residents to be involved in the planning of the programs
- Assess individual Resident needs and care plan accordingly
- Coordinate community services for the Residents (ex. Pastoral Care)
- Facilitate the Residents’ Council
- Manage the departmental budget
- Accountable to hire, discipline and conduct performance reviews of all direct reports
- To produce and distribute the monthly recreation activity calendar
- Performs other duties as requested
- **QUALIFICATIONS**_
- A community college diploma/university degree in a related recreation program is preferred
- At least 2 years of experience working with seniors in a leadership role
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational skills as well as excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly creative and customer service oriented
- Familiar with local community services/clubs
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to obtain a special class license
- Must have a passion for working with seniors

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
