**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the VP, Human Resources, this position will contribute to the company’s yearly goal attainment through recommendations, development, implementation, coordination and administration of policies and programs in the areas of recruitment, benefits, compensation, training, health & safety, employee and labour regulations for both employees and owner operators.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement Human Resource strategy to support business strategy
- Develop and maintain HR processes based on best practices, and determine necessary improvements to established processes in order to achieve goals
- Manage Human Resources Coordinators, Health & Safety Coordinators to ensure timely and efficient service to internal customers
- Communicate HR initiatives and directions to management and employees
- Assist Senior Management in the formulation of staffing goals, turnover tracking, etc.
- Coordinate closely with payroll and VP, Human Resources on issues relating to risk management as it relates to HR
- Define scope of personnel records and supervises maintenance of those records
- Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations
- Ensure compliance is kept with all governmental bodies
- Manage and monitor the company’s WSIB accounts
- Monitor, report and ensure compliance with the Employment Equity branch of Services Canada

Position Qualifications:

- Human Resources Designation preferred or working towards
- Minimum of 5 years management experience, with at least 3 years in a Human Resources role
- Self-motivated and energetic
- Ability to supervise a small team
- Ability to multi task
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good computer skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Ability to lead and provide effective and timely feedback
- Ability to work effectively, efficiently and courteously with other staff
- Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively
- Ability to work in a high volume environment and meet deadlines
- Ability to rapidly learn and perform tasks related to the department or units regulations, policies, rules, functions, procedures or processes
- Ability to communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions
- University or College degree in business or a related field
