Store Manager

**THE ROLE**

The Root Cellar, a thriving local company that truly lives their values, has an immediate opportunity in Victoria, BC, for a Store Manager with a background in grocery environments.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, our Store Manager leads a collaborative leadership team with a main objective of driving the store's profitability and overall success, focusing on Gross Margin, Payroll, Inventory Management, and Loss Control, ensuring operational excellence across all departments. You will monitor financial performance, manage resources efficiently, enhance the shopping environment, and develop your team, all while upholding our commitment to providing extraordinary food experiences and brightening our customers day. **WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE**
- 8+ years of progressive relevant industry experience, including experience in leadership roles at a senior management level. Experience in the grocery industry is preferred, and experience in HR and the retail consumer industry is an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or similar, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Strong business acumen with a proven track record of executing and maintaining efficient operational systems.
- Experience managing and analyzing profit and loss statements, sales volumes, margins, and overall expenses to ensure growth and profitability.
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Suite and a general aptitude for learning new software and systems.
