**Position Overview**

Since 1967, we have proudly served Ontario’s nuclear industry. Aecon Nuclear aims to be the partner-of-choice for key nuclear clients and our dedication to excellence is leading us there. Aecon Nuclear provides a full spectrum of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services, in addition to maintenance and manufacturing services tailored to meet the demanding requirements of the nuclear power industry.

As a Jr. Project Coordinator you will play a key role in providing leadership in helping to manage/supervise construction leadership system project in the development, rollout, and execution of the project. Risk analysis, project forecasting, liaising with customer, and subcontractors are daily occurrences in these positions. The Project Coordinator reports to the Manager, Continuous Improvement who provides oversight on the project. as well supports other project leads as required.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Work with project team to develop work strategy and schedule.
- Work with project team to identify and monitor risks.
- Production coordination of approval of detailed work plans and schedule of activities.
- Interpretation and conversion of design to execution plans.
- Assist in the development of policy as and where required on the project.
- Coordinate internal and customer approvals for project documents.
- Serve as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all documents and their management required for the project. Ensure documents are up to date and filed in accordance with Aecon Document Control procedures.
- Schedule meetings with key stakeholders.
- Proficient in P6.
- Set up and maintain project schedules.
- Set up “dashboards”/reports for project “Key Performance Indices” (KPI’s).
- Set up and maintain project weekly reports.
- Track all project activities.
- Set up and maintain all communications during lifecycle of the project.
- Ensure timely monitoring of key project milestones and reporting requirements to various stakeholders.
- Liase with Corporate Communications and key Continuous Improvement peers.
- Play key role in any of (not limited to) the following:

- Preparation of execution procedures, training plans/procedures etc.
- Coordination of small workshops and collegial reviews.

**Required Knowledge and Experience**
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Works effectively in a team environment (trades, tech’s, Engineers, management, other), under high pressure
- High level of initiative and keen interest in technical problem solving
- Time management with the ability to multitask on several different areas during a day
- Experience performing work at/for nuclear power generating facilities, including general familiarity of procedures and practices related to working at a nuclear site is preferred
- Experience with Aeconex,
- Willing to travel (Southwestern Ontario)
- Experience in an Engineering or Project Coordination Role is preferred
