Student Services Coordinator

**Role Description**:
Reporting to the Manager of Education, this role provides comprehensive administrative support for AMBA’s pre-licensing education program(s), professional development initiatives, and student services.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide accurate and timely information about programs, policies, and services.
- Handle challenging phone calls with professionalism and employ effective de-escalation strategies.
- Assess student concerns and escalate issues to the appropriate departments when necessary.
- Assist students with registration, enrollment, and administrative processes.
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation in compliance with policies.
- Participate in student engagement initiatives, including orientations, virtual sessions, and events.
- Identify areas for improvement in service delivery and recommend enhancements to processes.
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive student information.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- A minimum of 3 years of customer service experience.
- Proven ability to handle difficult conversations, de-escalate tense situations and confidently communicate when a customer request cannot be accommodated.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume environment.
- Proficiency with a variety of systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, SharePoint, CRM software, and Learning Management Systems.
- High level of professionalism and a strong commitment to student success.

The Alberta Mortgage Brokers Association (AMBA) is the collective voice of the mortgage brokerage industry in Alberta. Founded in 1975, AMBA is an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to highly ethical business principles and advancing the industry’s high integrity and professionalism.

**A Note on Remote Work**
This position, like all positions at AMBA, is an in-office role. Through experience, we have learned that at AMBA, we do our best creative work when we are together in person. However, we offer flexible Fridays for our team, allowing them to work from home if their schedules permit.

Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
