Logistics Manager

**Position Overview**
Reporting to the General Manager, this position is responsible to work cohesively with the Senior TSR, Design Manager, Accounting Coordinator, Plant Manager, and Yard Supervisor to ensure production and shipping meets the customer’s requirements. This position will be the hands-on lead for material ordering, inventory management, and all inventory needs including weekly, monthly, and annual inventory counts. The position directly manages the Shipping department and communicates daily with the Technical Service Representatives, Sales team, and design team to ensure accuracy and entirety of all orders.
**Duties/Responsibilities**:
- Work with Group Central Purchasing Department on ordering of all materials
- Manage Shipping Department
- Oversee schedule of daily yard and production operations
- Work with Production Manager and Senior TSR to ensure customer service levels are being met on a regular basis.
- Complete work orders and maintain inventory accuracy
- Track returned inventory ensuring it goes back into stock
- Monitor inventory levels
- Ensure proper pricing on freight, supply, and other services
- Supply information to management when required; credit exception, restocking form, production back log
- Ensuring all paperwork going to production, the yard, and the customer is complete and accurate
- Weekly, monthly, and annual inventory of product produced and stored in the yard (performs material count)
- Maintain a positive relationship with staff using good communication skills
- Monitor and ensure safety standards and take appropriate actions.
- Prepare delivery shipping lists for invoicing
- Providing customer assistance, requests and concerns as necessary
- Receiving product and tracking outgoing materials
- Maintains an organized and clean yard
- Ensures COD orders are paid in full before delivery
- Schedules daily work going into production in consultation with Sales, TSR and Plant Manager keeping in mind shop capacity and shipping schedule
- Works with management to ensure standard is met for all shipping and receiving
- Wear required PPE
- Ensure deadlines are met.
- Responsible for various reports and filing
- Attend and participate in meetings as required.
- Be a leader and lead by example
- Delegation of duties as required.
- Other duties as required.
**Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications**:
- Acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook)experience with Microsoft 365 is an asset
- Must take ownership of core responsibilities as assigned and communicate effectively
- The desire to complement All-Fab’s sales and TSR teams, communicate well, maintain organization, be highly efficient and be accurate.
- Knowledge of city of Edmonton and Central/Northern Alberta
- Experience in shipping/receiving
- Understands loads and limits of equipment
- Previous experience in estimating building materials required
- 2 years’ experience working in a lumber yard
- Ability to perform simple mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying) with a high degree of accuracy.
- Knowledge of the Mitek Suite is an asset
- Knowledge of Bistrack software is an asset
**Degrees/Certificates and licenses**
- Valid class 5 driver’s license
- Post secondary schooling in the fields of Logistics or Business are assets.
- Forklift experiencer is an asset.
