Looking for a full-time shipping/operations/logistics coordinator based in Maple Ridge, BC. The applicant must be experienced in multiple areas of operations for a steel business including shipping and receiving. The applicant must also have strong organizational, Excel, math, leadership and English communication skills and be capable of making smart decisions on the spot. Compensation will be based on ability and experience.

Here are some of the responsibilities of this role:

- Following instructions pertaining to an individual order as set out by the customer or sales department with the ability to determine the status of an order at any time
- Negotiate and booking freight for customer loads daily. Hours outside of normal working hours should be expected as freight is continually moving.
- Knowing product and product storage locations
- Finding the proper vendors for shipment
- Knowledge of legal dimensions and weights for trucking
- Cross-border shipping
- Monitoring incoming and outgoing shipments
- Maintain record of shipments and details for the accounting and inventory teams
- Provide each yard location with appropriate paperwork

Extended health and dental benefits will be available after a three-month probationary period.

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
