Job Description: Medical Office Assistant
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits
- Assist healthcare providers with various tasks as needed
- Handle billing and payment transactions
**Skills**:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems (preferred)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures (Bonus)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Our busy and fast paced specialist office is looking for a part-time Medical Office Assistant 2-3 days per week. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the medical office. Your responsibilities will include assisting patients, managing appointments, maintaining records, and providing administrative support to healthcare providers. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks are essential for success in this role. Experience as an MOA is preferred, as well as experience with Accuro EMR. Wage is dependent on experience. There is potential for full-time position in the future.
