**Position Summary**

Our Production Planners are integral to ensuring that we meet our commitments to our clients by providing timely planning and scheduling of customer orders to manufacturing in order to achieve both customer delivery dates and corporate targets. Production Planners, plan, schedule, coordinate and monitor the flow of products through the complete production cycle. They are also responsible for communicating information about status including production changes and makes reports based on the flow and priorities of the project.
**Responsibilities & Duties**
- Schedule orders for manufacturing of all products and create a Production Plan for completion, considering production capacity
- Liaise with Client Services, Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, and Installations to achieve on time delivery.
- Review in detail material availability for planned work orders and advise on issues.
- Identify potential shortages and actions required to meet schedule targets and follow up as necessary.
- Release Work Orders and shipping picklists as per Production Plan and modify as required.
- Monitor the status of open work orders and report progress.
- Identify capacity issues and work with the Plant Manager and Production Supervisors to resolve issues.
- Assist with troubleshooting orders in production, including material availability issues and non-conformances
- Monitor ERP system parameters. and advise on stock levels for raw material inventories such as sheet metal.
- Host and/or attend regular manufacturing meetings and follow up on all corrective actions impacting the manufacturing schedule.
- Generate production reports to communicate Production Plan and order status.
- Create weekly/monthly reports to communicate priorities and planned ship dates.
- Maintain a high standard of professional knowledge, ethics and practices when dealing with customers, suppliers, peers, subordinates, supervisors, and other key stakeholders of the company.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Excellent oral and written communications skills; ability to communicate with technical and non-technical teams
- Must be organized and able to balance multiple priorities appropriately
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
- Superior interpersonal skills that allow for relationship building with internal and external parties
- Ability for logical thinking and creative problem-solving
- Detail-orientated, highly motivated, patient, and diligent
- Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook, Teams)

**Desired Education and Experience**
- 5+ years of planning or scheduling in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience using MRP / ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
- Degree in a Supply Chain and/or Operations Field, or Supply Chain Certifications, CPIM, CSCP, or CPP designation would be an asset
