The **Jean Augustine Centre for Young Women’s Empowerment**is committed to empowering girls and young women between the ages of 7-17 years both locally and across Canada. We take a holistic approach to empowerment by providing programs that support the mental, physical, and social wellbeing of young women and girls.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic self-starter to join our team as a full-time Program Coordinator. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position will be responsible for the coordination and leadership of the day-to-day program needs of the organization.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Coordinates after-school programs, camps, community programs and special events
- Facilitates some programs as required
- Maintains program information, monitors data, and compiles reports related to programs
- Performs outreach including but not limited to visiting schools, attending community events and conducting participant follow-up phone calls
- Establishes and strengthens relationships with community stakeholders including program partners and schools
- Supports Executive Director with recruitment, training and supervision of volunteers and placement students
- Updates program information on website and social media as needed (training provided)
- Supports grant process by seeking grant opportunities and some grant writing
- Supervises children and youth while providing leadership
- Helps maintain a safe and professional work environment
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- College diploma or university degree in child and youth work or related fields, or a minimum of 3 years of equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated experience in program planning, program facilitation and program evaluation
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Excellent administrative, organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform effective outreach and engagement with stakeholders and community partners
- Ability to work flexible hours with evenings and some weekends required
- Police Records Check - Vulnerable Sector required
- Standard First Aid & CPR required
- COVID-19 vaccination (two doses) or proof of accommodation under the Ontario Human Rights Code required
- Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and use of a vehicle required

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$51,000.00 per year
